Empire Records  Film Poster


Set in the mid-90s, Empire Records is a film that follows a gang of teenagers in a record store who attempt to save their beloved business from soulless corporate greed. Along the way, each character uncovers difficult truths about themselves, forcing them to grow closer and work together.

This poster was created with the film’s reckless coming-of-age spirit in mind, borrowing many significant motifs and combining them into one collaged image. I wanted to make it look sporadic and youthful, as if the kids from the film had thrown stuff from their backpacks onto a tabletop and doodled on the record sleeve.

Along with a poster redesign, I created digital assets formatted for Netflix as well.
